YIG was amazing. I have never met so many fun and interesting people in my life. It definitly reaffirmed my wanting to go into politics.... sitting on the senete floor debating actual legislation was absolutly amazing. I met some awesome people from Athens (the city, not Troy Athens), Lakeland, Homer, Mason Consolidated, Ida, Constantine and Taylor... pretty much just awsome. The Dvorak keyboard bill (written by a team of four other guys and I) was championed through the house and the senate in 15 minutes. The Governor signed it at the zero hour. None of this probably makes any sense, so I'll just stop now

I just saw on the news about RHS:
Apaarently there was graffiti warning of "colombine pt 2" on monday. RHS's Sadies was schedualed for tonight until chaparones found a note on the door that said the person will go to their locker and get a gun. The dance will be reschedualed for a later date.
I just saw this on Channel 7. Steven Book was on the news. This is absolutly insane. I feel sorry for the people at RHS, more because of the instense security that they're going to have to endure for the next while

Today I regained hope in the human race.
I was at work working the register, and the man and his wife pay seperate bills. I didn't really think anything of it. then this old woman comes to the register and asks "Who's the good Samariton?" And I was LIke "what?" and she said "Someone just paid my bill for me and I was hoping to catch them before they left". The man that had just payed smiled real wide and said " Ms. I paid your bill" The woman starts to cry and thanks the man profusly and saying that he is blessed. she continues by saying shes had a really rough week and that he couldn't have picked a better time. It was just so.... inspiring.

For those of you who know me, I'm not the most religious person... infact I doubt the existence of God more time than not... but this story holds a special place with me and brings about many great memories at Raggers Pointe (not THOSE memories :))
Footprints ...
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking
Along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene,
He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
He looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
There was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened
At the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him
And he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that
During the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed
You most you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.

When you see only one set of footprints,
